Microbiologist to Join Farm School Faculty

 

Dr. Albert Schatz, of Fair Lawn, N. Y., co-discoverer of the wonder drug streptomycin, will join the faculty of the National Agricultural College, Doylestown, on September 2.

Professor of biology at Brooklyn College, N. Y., the 31-year-old research worker will have charge of a new laboratory to be housed in "Wayside Inn" on the college campus. The Inn is one of several Colonial buildings used by the institution.

The laboratory headed by Dr. Schatz, a microbiologist, will have on its staff experts in the fields of bio-chemistry, food technology, medicine, public health and general agriculture.
